News extension educators, assistants to serve Furnas County

Furnas County and Harlan County have formed their extension partnership and have three new faces to help both counties. Erin Rife (who’s last name will soon be Laborie) became the new Extension Educator for Furnas County with her specialty being beef systems. Megan Peterson has taken over the position when Tony Anderson retired from Harlan County. Peterson started as the Extension Educator 4-H Youth Development for both Harlan and Furnas counties. She began on July 1. Assisting Peterson is Jordann Wenzel. She is also new to Harlan County and has taken over the Extension Assistant position.
