Warrior teams compete at Elwood, earn medals

The Arapahoe Warrior track teams traveled to Elwood for the Elwood Invitational on Thursday, March 29.

The Arapahoe girls placed sixth at the meet with a score of 40 points.  Maxwell won the meet with 99 points.  The boys placed fifth with 47 team points.  South Loup won the meet with 123 points.  South Loup also won the Combine Champion at the Elwood Invitational.

Alayna Whipple led the way for the Lady Warriors.  She placed in three events.  Whipple placed second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.60 seconds.  She placed third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.80 seconds.  Whipple had a time of 1:08.20 in the 400 meter dash which placed her in fourth. Lauren Bahe placed in two events.  She placed fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 29.50 seconds.  Bahe had a time of 1:09.20 in the 400 meter dash, placing her in sixth.  Mariah Watson placed fourth in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 55.30 seconds.  Joslyn North and Adrienne Einspahr both placed in the 3200 meter run.  North had a time of 13:52.00, putting her in fifth place.  Einspahr placed sixth with a time of 14:00.00.The Arapahoe girls had one relay team place at the meet.  The 4×800 meter relay team of Lauren Bahe, Adrienne Einspahr, Adrienne North, and Joslyn North placed first with a time of 11:02.80. The Arapahoe boys had three runners place in their respective events.  Noah Koller led the way with a first-place finish in the 400 meter dash.  He had a time of 53.40 seconds.  Yordi Gutierrez had a pair of fifth place finishes.  He had a time of 55.70 seconds in the 400 meter dash.  Gutierrez had a time of 2:18.30 in the 800 meter run.  Jacob Pruitt placed sixth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.00 seconds.

The boys had three place in their field events.  Cooper Schutz placed third in the discus with a throw of 114’10.0”.  Carson Schroeder had a jump of 5’8.0” to place fourth in the high jump.  Lastly, Spencer Watson placed fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 37’5.0”.

The three boys’ relay teams placed at the meet.  The 4×100 meter relay team of Jacob Pruitt, Jacob Eichenberger, Colton Hearn, and Noah Koller placed second with a time of 47.10 seconds.  The 4×400 meter relay team of Spencer Watson, Jackson Koller, Colton Hearn, and Noah Koller placed third with a time of 3:52.00.  The 4×800 meter relay team of Spencer Watson, Jackson Koller, Yordi Gutierrez, and Brandon Tucker placed third with a time of 9:11.20.The Arapahoe track teams will have two meets in this upcoming week.  They traveled to Dundy County for a meet on Tuesday, April 3.  The Warriors will then travel to Cambridge for a meet on Monday, April 9.
