Warrior track teams compete at Best of the West and the Alma Twilight meet last week

The Arapahoe High School track teams attended two meets this past week.  They first traveled to Sutherland for the Best in the Midwest on Tuesday, May 1.  The Warriors then traveled to Alma for the Alma Twilight on Thursday, May 3.

The Lady Warriors had three place in their events at Sutherland.  Alayna Whipple placed seventh in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 28.47 seconds.  Joslyn North placed eighth in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 6:24.85.  Lauren Bahe had a jump of 29’10.75” to place eighth in the Triple Jump.

The Arapahoe girls had one relay team place at the Best of the Midwest.  The 4×800 Meter Relay Team of Joslyn North, Lauren Bahe, Adrienne North, and Adrienne Einspahr placed seventh with a time of 11:13.72.

The Warriors had two place in their individual events.  Yordi Gutierrez had a time of 2:09.23, placing him in sixth in the 800 Meter Run.  Carson Schroeder cleared 5’8” in the High Jump to place eighth.

The 4×800 Meter Relay Team of Jackson Koller, Brandon Tucker, Carson Schroeder, and Yordi Gutierrez placed sixth with a time of 9:07.27.

The Arapahoe girls placed fifth at the Alma Twilight with 56 points.  Bertrand won the meet with 86 team points.

The Arapahoe boys won the meet with 83 points.
