The Arapahoe track team traveled to Kenesaw for the D-7 District Track Meet on Wednesday, May 9.

The Arapahoe girls placed eighth at the district meet.  They finished with 37 points.  Bertrand won the meet with 98 team points.  The boys placed fourth with 65 points.  Axtell won districts with 150 points.

Alayna Whipple led the way for the Lady Warriors.  She placed fourth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.40 seconds.  Whipple placed fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.90 seconds.  Joslyn North also placed in two events.  She placed fifth in both.  She had a time of 6:35.23 in the 1600 meter run.  North had a time of 14:15.04 in the 3200 meter run.

Adrienne Einspahr also placed in the 3200 meter run.  She placed fourth with a time of 14:05.36.  Adrienne North placed fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:52.85.  Lauren Bahe also placed fourth.  She had a time of 1:07.36 in the 400 meter dash.  Mariah Watson placed sixth in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 55.14 seconds.

The Arapahoe girls had two relay teams place at the district meet.  The 4×800 meter relay team of Lauren Bahe, Adrienne North, Joslyn North, and Adrienne Einspahr place second with a time of 10:51.61.  The 4×400 meter relay team of Lauren Bahe, Adrienne Einspahr, Mariah Watson, and Alayna Whipple placed third with a time of 4:32.01.

Noah Koller led the way for the Warriors.  He had a pair of second place finishes at the meet.  He placed in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.20 seconds.  Koller placed in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.47 seconds.  Yordi Gutierrez also had a strong outing.  He won the 800 meter run with a time of 2:07.39.

Arapahoe had three other runners place at the meet.  Conner Luke was fourth in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 44.42 seconds.  Jacob Pruitt had a time of 12.12 in the 100 meter dash, placing him in sixth.  Brandon Tucker was sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:19.04.

Arapahoe had three athletes place in their field event.  Spencer Watson was fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 39’02.50”.  Cooper Schutz placed fifth in the discus throw with a distance of 116’0”.  Carson Schroeder placed sixth in the high jump by clearing 5’06”.

All three of the Arapahoe boys’ relay teams placed in the top two at the district meet.  The 4×100 meter relay team of Yordi Gutierrez, Jacob Pruitt, Carson Schroeder, and Noah Koller won the event with a time of 45.83 seconds.  The 4×400 meter relay team of Yordi Gutierrez, Spencer Watson, Jacob Pruitt, and Noah Koller placed second with a time of 3:40.30.  The 4×800 meter relay team of Spencer Watson, Jackson Koller, Brandon Tucker, and Yordi Gutierrez also placed second with a time of 8:57.75.

The Arapahoe track team had four girls and seven boys qualify for the state meet.  Adrienne Einspahr, Joslyn North, Adrienne North, and Lauren Bahe qualified for the 4×800 meter relay.  Yordi Gutierrez, Brandon Tucker, Spencer Watson, and Jackson Koller qualified for the 4×800 meter relay.  Noah Koller qualified for the 200 and 400 meter dashes.  Yordi Gutierrez qualified for the 800 meter run.  Yordi Gutierrez, Jacob Pruitt, Carson Schroeder, and Noah Koller qualified for the 4×100 meter relay.  The 4×400 meter relay team of Noah Koller, Jacob Pruitt, Spencer Watson, and Yordi Gutierrez also qualified for the state meet.  The Warriors will travel to Omaha for the Nebraska State Track Meet on Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19.  The events will be held at Omaha Burke Stadium.
