The Furnas County Fair is celebrating 25 years of being a county owned fair. In honor of the anniversary the Carnival Board and Fair Board decided to bring in some new attractions and additions for people of all ages to enjoy.
The Carnival Board has added Bubble Mania and a 3 in 1 Combo Attraction. Bubble Mania will be set up in the kiddie land all four nights of the fair. It is a 12-foot tower that produces hundreds of bubbles every minute and kids can make their own bubbles with wants. Sponsors for the Bubble Mania is the Oxford Thrift Store and Kaufman Trailers. The 3 in 1 attraction will be set up on the northwest side of the midway on Friday and Saturday night of the fair. The attraction has three bungee trampolines, two rock walls to climb and a 40-foot free fall tower.
Other additions to the fair are chimi cheesecakes in the food booth and wristbands will now be available for all four nights of the fair. Multiple games have been added or refurbished as well and a second crosswalk has been added to kiddie land to help with the flow of traffic.
The Fair Board has added a Beer Garden all four nights of the fair and Tim Zach and Whiskey Bent Band will perform on Wednesday evening. The band will be taking place of the Ranch Rodeo that was previously held on Wednesday. The 4H Blue Ribbon will be offering a “Daily Special” each day of the fair.
The board members from both boards have watched and listened during the fair throughout the years on different wants and needs and they try to have a continuous effort to improve the fair for all ages.
