In the new business report the council met with representatives with the Arapahoe Airport Authority on behalf of the 2018-2019 budget. Eric Lee presented the proposed budget and financials from last year. They are asking for approximately $28,000. The airport board discussed recent repairs that were made with grant monies  and discussed future repairs.. The airport board will revisit future repairs along with the need for a courtesy car for pilots that fly into the airport and want to go into town for lodging or food. Lee stated that the airport did make a profit this year and the council made the motion to approve the proposed budget.

The council made the motion to approve transfers from the Electric account of $1,083,000 to General in the amount of $328,050; the Fire account in the amount of $39,000; to Library for $80,000 and the Water account for $555,000.

In committee reports the council discussed the Fire Department winning a grant they submitted. They were one out of eleven to get the maximum amount granted for $4500. The grant is a 50/50 grant so in order to receive the $4500 the department needs to put in half. The department is in need of some new equipment and Mayor Koller commented that it was a reasonable grant. The items that will use the $4500 was budgeted items already so it will help with the budget.
