Lady Warriors have busy schedule

The Arapahoe Lady Warriors hosted Loomis and Maywood-Hayes Center for a triangular on Tuesday, September 11.  On Saturday they traveled to Hitchcock County for tournament action. Arapahoe v Loomis

Loomis controlled the first set to take a 1-0 lead over Arapahoe with a 25-16 win.  Arapahoe made some strong plays in the second set, but they fell short in the end.  Loomis came away with a 25-21 win to give them a 2-0 win in the match. 

Terri Hilker finished with two kills and five ace serves.  Chloe Carlson had a team high three kills.  Lauren Bahe had five assists.

Arapahoe v Maywood-Hayes Center

Maywood-Hayes Center controlled the match from start to finish against Arapahoe.  The Wolves won in a 2-0 sweep with 25-13 and 25-14 wins in each set.  Chloe Carlson led the team with five kills.  Caitlin McCorkle had two ace serves for Arapahoe.  Joslyn North led the team with six digs. 

Arapahoe v Wauneta-Palisade

Arapahoe played Wauneta-Palisade in the first match in the Hitchcock County Tournament.  The Broncos won the first set 25-16.  The second set was all Wauneta-Palisade.  They cruised to a 25-11 win for a 2-0 win against the Lady Warriors.  Mariah Watson had one ace serves, three kills, and two blocks.  Chloe Carlson led the team with four blocks.

Arapahoe v Maywood-Hayes Center

The Lady Warriors matched with the Maywood-Hayes Center Wolves for the second time in the week.  The Wolves coasted to a 25-11 win in the first set.  Arapahoe battled back in the second set to tie the match at one.  The Lady Warriors edged out a 25-23 win.  Maywood-Hayes Center rebounded in the third set to control the set.  They won the third set 25-12 to take a 2-1 win in the match. 

Chloe Carlson had seven kills and two blocks for Arapahoe.  Joslyn North had four kills and 11 digs.  Terri Hilker led the team with three ace serves and 25 serves received.   

Arapahoe v Alma

Alma played Arapahoe in the third match of the tournament.  The Cardinals controlled both sets against Arapahoe.  They won the first 25-16 and the second 25-12 for a 2-0 sweep of the Lady Warriors.  Emilee Hanke and Terri Hilker each had three kills.  Chloe Carlson had one kill and two blocks.  Lauren Bahe and Jade Kasson each had three assists.

Arapahoe was 0-5 this past week, dropping their record to 0-9 on the season.  They will travel to Cozad for a triangular with Alma on Tuesday, September 11.  They will then host Southern Valley and Bertrand for a triangular on Thursday, September 13.  Cambridge is leading the way for the RPAC with their 7-1 record.  Dundy County-Stratton is 4-1, but has a head-to-head win over Cambridge.  Hitchcock County is in the mix with their 7-2 record.  Southern Valley is 5-4.  Alma is 4-3.  Axtell is leading the way in the D1-10 subdistrict with a 7-2 record.  Alma is 4-3 and Elwood is 4-4.  Overton is sitting at 2-3.  Arapahoe is on the bottom of the standings at 0-9.
