The Arapahoe High School wrestling team began competition following the NSAA moratorium by traveling to Pleasanton to compete in the Kurt Keaschall Invite on Saturday, December 29.

The Warriors found success in Pleasanton, but they did not come away with a top podium at the meet. Arapahoe had five, third places and three, second place finishes. As a team the Warriors scored 163.0 team points placing them second. Kearney Gold edged Arapahoe with a score of 174.5 points. Isaac Goshert, John Lee, and Levi Kerner all placed second. Tristan White, Jackson Koller, Wyatt Jenkins, Branigan Schaben, and Skyler Warburton placed third at the meet.
The Warriors have 11 wrestlers with a winning record this season. Skyler Warburton had a 4-1 week to improve to 19-7. He leads the team in matches won. Levi Kerner is 18-4 after going 4-1. Isaac Goshert was 3-2 to move to 18-6 on the year. Jackson Koller was 3-2 in Pleasanton to move to 17-8. Tristan White was 3-1 this week and is now 16-6. John Lee is 16-8 after going 4-1. Branigan Schaben was 2-2 and is 12-11. Ashton Vargas struggled this week, 1-3, but holds on to a 12-11 record. Wyatt Jenkins returned to the mat. He went 3-2 and is 8-3 on the season. Shane Sieja missed this week, but he holds on to a 6-3 record. Arapahoe will travel to Benkelman for the Dundy County-Stratton Invite on Friday, January 4.
